 STYLE and ACCURACY

What is Style? Ask any 'modern' jumper under the age of 40, and they may not know. One of the earliest competition events was Style. The jumper exited the aircraft, and after building up some speed,  would perform a Style Series, left turn - right turn - backloop, then repeat. They were judged on the speed to complete the 'series' and points were docked if the turns were not on heading and if the backloops were not on an exact axis. Style is still a competition event at the US Nationals, as well as World Meets and World Cups.
